As our FP&A Sr Finance Manager, you will support our Partner organization. The FP&A Sr Finance Manager, Partners, you will work with Partner Leadership teams. You will be a valued partner in driving, strategic planning and delivering business insights to improve growth for Avalara through Partner investments. You will partner with multiple responsibilities in leading projects and report on meaningful financial and operational metrics to lead insightful and data-led decisions. You will help define strategic investments that favor the long term and set up Avalara for continued success. You will have high visibility into the vision and goals of each Partner function as you evaluate and support main metrics to drive profitable growth at scale. You will report to the Vice President, Go to Market Finance and Strategy. This is a remote position in the United States.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be
Manage, develop and grow a team of strategic finance professionals to help drive growth through Partner ecosystem.
Track and provide visibility into Partner Commission spend
Strategically manage ongoing financial analysis on pipeline and funnel metrics and a robust investment model to support hyper growth
Lead forecasting and budgeting, partnering with department leaders on monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis
Prepare and analyze management presentations, including monthly reporting, BOD, QBR, and Finance Review
Partner with the Accounting Team to support the month-end close process
Provide financial expertise to help support headcount planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
Develop and implement efficient financial processes that support our rapidly growing business
What You'll Need to be Successful
8+ years of experience in FP&A at either a high-tech or enterprise software company with experience in Partner ecosystem
You have experience with business partnership experience with C-suite executives and the demonstrated ability to provide expertise to multiple tasks
Deep experience with multiple financial applications, including ERP, CRM, and financial planning applications (Salesforce, Netsuite, Excel)
Familiarity with Enterprise Software (SaaS preferred) metrics, having experience defining and measuring marketing investment models
Experience working in a startup environment, with an ability to balance strategic programs and operational execution
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related discipline
Pay Range Details
The base pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
Colorado $136,400-$225,000 (annually) Washington $136,400-$248,600 (annually) California $136,400-$272,500(annually) NYC $165,100-$272,500 (annually)
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate's actual salary/wage may be based on various factors, such as geographic location, candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, depending on the terms of the applicable plan and the employee's role.
