Job Description

What You'll Do

The Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting is an important member of the Financial Reporting team. This team prepares quarterly and annual financial statements following U.S. GAAP. The Senior Accountant will help with the use of new accounting standards and related disclosures. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will help document internal controls over financial reporting. The Senior Accountant reports to the Manager of Financial Reporting and you will have a hybrid work schedule in Seattle, WA.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements for issuance (e.g. Form 10-Q and Form 10-K), including review of XBRL

  • Prepare quarterly Earnings Release and financial schedules

  • Perform independent technical accounting research and document conclusions in memoranda

  • Prepare journal entries and reconciliations in assigned areas or on an ad hoc basis for month-end close

  • Help perform, documenting, and monitoring effectiveness of internal controls related to compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley

  • Support internal and external auditors with testing of internal controls and the annual audit and quarterly review

  • Document processes and templates to improve efficiency

  • Collaborate with different teams to provide training and continue to develop accounting processes, including through automation and AI


What You'll Need to be Successful

  • B.A. in Accounting or Finance

  • Minimum five years' experience or three years public accounting experience, CPA

  • You have experience with U.S. GAAP and internal controls in a public company environment

  • You have provided technical accounting guidance and apply it to real-world

  • You have experience solving non-recurring and complex issues

  • You have familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP system

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

The base pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Colorado $88,000-$140,800 (annually)

Washington $88,000-$155,700 (annually)

California $88,000-$170,300 (annually)

NYC $4106,500-$170,300 (annually)

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate's actual salary/wage may be based on various factors, such as geographic location, candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, depending on the terms of the applicable plan and the employee's role
