What You'll Do

This is a remote role focused on Avalara's growth by increasing new logo acquisition of our end-to-end Indirect Tax technology portfolio. As an important member of the APAC sales team, you will shape how clients automate tax compliance, directly influencing Avalara's mission to simplify complex tax challenges through scalable cloud solutions. Your success depends on building a outbound pipeline. It also requires a field first approach, negotiation, and closure of deals. Furthermore, using data-driven insights is important. Collaboration across Sales, Product Marketing, and Operations is necessary to deliver impactful client outcomes. You will report to the Director of APAC Sales

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • Drive Revenue Growth: Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets by expanding Avalara's Indirect Tax technology footprint within the assigned region.
  • Lead Outbound Sales and Demand Generation: Build outbound strategies to create qualified pipeline opportunities and accelerate enterprise adoption of Avalara's solutions.
  • Champion Solution Excellence: Use knowledge of Avalara's portfolio to provide tailored, value-driven solutions that simplify and automate complex tax compliance challenges for enterprise clients.
  • Collaborate for success by partnering with Product Marketing, Business Development, and Operations teams. This partnership will align go-to-market strategies, improve campaigns, and maximize net sales revenue across our accounts.
  • Data-Driven Performance: Knowledge systems like Salesforce, Power BI to obtain insights, and analyse trend data to improve pipeline quality, conversion rates, and overall sales effectiveness.

What You'll Need to be Successful

  • B2B Sales Expertise: 8+ years of success driving enterprise software or SaaS sales within ERP, accounting, or tax technology domains.
  • Outbound & Demand Generation Leadership: Experience building outbound sales strategies that create qualified leads and lead sustained pipeline growth.
  • Strategic Relationship Building: Engage C- and VP-level executives, partners, and teams to provide integrated client solutions.
  • Data-Driven Decision-making: Analytical mindset with proficiency in Salesforce and CRM tools to translate data insights into relevant sales strategies.
