The Channel Solution Engineer provides enablement(technical, functional, and presales skills) to Avalara Value Added Partners. Understanding how to develop trust and creating at senior levels with IT, Tax and other business leaders. Conduct needs analysis for targeted demonstrations, uncover potential objections, and help define the competitive landscape. Presales must deliver product presentations, integration demonstrations, technical deep dives, follow-up calls, one-off demonstrations with the intent to educate while working with Professional Services to create the "complete solution". You will have experience solving complex problems, answer prospects' and team members' detailed product questions, prepare and perform detailed product demonstrations. You will report to the Indirect Sales Director.

Quais serão as suas responsabilidades

  • Coach the Presales Engineers team, on an ongoing basis.
  • Build solid relationships with Avalara Value Added Partner's presales professionals.
  • Explain Avalara Brazil solution portfolio to partners' presales.
  • Explain and rehearse with partners how to deliver Avalara product demonstrations.
  • Explain how to perform an assessment for a given client using Avalara assessment framework.
  • Explain which parameters are necessary to define pricing structure for a deal.
  • Show how to answer one-off questions from prospects and customers.
  • Provide functional and technical enablement to get issues resolved.
  • Explain to Avalara Value added partners professionals their role in assisting sales team to prepare to commercial and services proposals, by delivering a clear statement of work.
  • Achieve client satisfaction.
  • Work with Product Management organization to enhance solution offering and provide feedback and direction from the field.
  • Provide guidance on partner presales performance management and development.
  • Assist Indirect Sales leader to build an understanding Partner Presales performance is evolving (partner presales evaluation).

O que precisa possuir para ser bem sucedido

  • 3+ years of experience in Brazilian Tax.
  • Experience with Brazilian Tax Solutions from different competitors. Experience of pre-sales supporting complex sales engagement. Experienced in ERP or other platforms (e-Commerce, Billing, etc.) experience.
  • Implementation and Consultancy experience.
  • Convey tax, functional, and technical messages to a 'common person'.
  • Being able to capture the essence of question, dig to get more information.
  • Work with platform partners (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, others) whenever required.
  • Resolve complex pre-sales technical problems, working with field sales personnel.
  • Present technical concepts in clear manner to customers through demos and proposals.
