Avalara is looking for a Director of Revenue Operations to lead the Business Partner organization within the Global Revenue Operations team.
- You will guide the improvement for our customer-facing teams.
- You will guarantee that the Services, Support, CSM, Seller, Partner and Lead Generation teams are supported from an operational standpoint to help them achieve their goals.
- You will remove process friction and increase productivity through a closed-loop feedback effort with all supporting functions within Avalara.
- You will lead the effort in driving best practices and improvement to establish an Operating Rhythm for Avalara using established methodologies.
As the Director you will facilitate the efforts of the teams of business partners under Revenue Operations that support the customer-facing teams through the entire revenue life cycle. You will set the direction of the team and empowering and mentoring staff to manage mission-critical projects.
You will report to the Vice President of Revenue Operations and work with the Revenue Operations Team to guarantee a closed-loop feedback process is in place between the customer-facing teams and Marketing, Product, and Finance and other supporting teams. You will work remotely.
What Your Responsibilities Will Be
- Lead process improvement efforts corporately by coordinating with partners to manage important projects that address critical needs.
- Manage the review, analysis, and evaluation of business processes selected for Avalara's improvement projects, working directly with several units to ensure decisions are made and scalable methodologies are applied.
- Coordinate with the Revenue Operations Enablement pillar to ensure Training programs and materials are created and delivered to ensure the success of Business Process Improvement programs.
- Allow the managers and teams to embed with their GTM teams to become extensions of their teams and create feedback loop for optimization and focus.
- Be the liaison between the Global Revenue Operations team and business units for rhythm of running the business and reporting needs and requests and system usage update and training needs.
- Demonstrate a workplace inclusive of creating opportunities, serving others, building trust, innovation and exceeding expectations.
What You'll Need to be Successful
- Eight + years of experience in a Sales Operations/ Business Operations (or equivalent) Leadership role required
- You have experience with SFDC, Marketing Automation software, Lead Routing software, Forecasting, and business analysis tools.
- Demonstrated ability to link project outcomes to our goals; expertise in group facilitation and mentoring; ability to reduce issues.
- Expertise with change management principles and approaches without direct authority and to obtain win-win situations.
- Motivate team members so that they feel responsible for project outcomes; manage changes to scope, resources, and timelines.
- Understand developing and scaling a closed loop feedback process between Sales, Marketing, Technology, Product and Operations.
- SalesForce.com experience in sales performance management
- Understand and advocate for internal customer needs.
- Demonstrated leadership and integrity.
