As our Senior Manager, Commissions you will lead the end-to-end accounting and operations for sales and partner commission programs. You will oversee the calculation, accrual, payment, and reporting of sales and partner commissions, ensure compliance with contractual obligations and accounting standards, maintain systems and reporting associated with commissions and lead process improvements and system enhancements to support scalability and accuracy. This is a Management role with direct reports. The Senior Manager, Commissions will report to the Assistant US Controller. This is a remote position based in the United States.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be
You will lead the commissions team.
You will be a subject matter expert for commissions accounting.
You will collaborate with Sales, Legal, RevOps, FP&A, and Partner Ops.
You will be the primary contact for external auditors and support SOX compliance.
You will oversee accurate commission calculations and reporting.
You will ensure commission structures align with sales plans and partner agreements.
You will manage monthly/quarterly commission cycles and communications.
You will oversee month-end close for commission accounts.
You will ensure compliance with US GAAP (ASC 606) and internal policies.
You will maintain internal controls for commissions.
You will guide process improvements (e.g., Xactly, CaptivateIQ).
You will partner with IT and Finance Systems on tool integration and scalability.
You will develop dashboards and KPIs for trend analysis.
You will operationalize contract changes for payment and accounting.
You will enhance analytics to flag and investigate anomalies promptly.
What You'll Need to be Successful
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a management or lead role.
You have knowledge of US GAAP, especially ASC 606 revenue recognition standards associated with capitalized sales and partner commissions.
You have prior experience managing partner or sales commission processes in a SaaS or technology company
You have experience with ERP (e.g., NetSuite), CRM (e.g., Salesforce), and commission tools (e.g., Xactly).
You have familiarity with SOX/internal controls and public company reporting requirements.
You have expertise in automating and scaling finance operations
Pay Range Details
The base pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be
different in other locations.
Colorado $122,300-195,700 (annually)
Washington $122,300-216,300 (annually)
California $122,300-236,900(annually)
NYC $148,100-236,900 (annually)
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The
successful candidate’s actual salary/wage may be based on various factors, such as geographic
location, candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, depending on
the terms of the applicable plan and the employee’s role.
