Avalara is looking for a SaaS business-oriented person with experience in data querying and analysis, Power BI / visualization, who have worked directly with GTM business leaders. Avalara's cloud-based subscription solution's go to market relies on integrations with our Technology Partners (platforms) and demand generation from our partner ecosystem driving opportunities and bookings. You will be a part of the Partner Decision Support team, which leads business reporting and analysis, strategic planning, and ad hoc modeling. As a senior data analyst, you will work with multi-dimensional data sets, performing analysis, gathering requirements and documenting analysis, and creating exec level Power BI dashboards, to guide business intelligence and visibility on trends and performances of different teams. You will report directly to the Global Senior Director, Partner Strategic Planning.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be
- Requirements Gathering: Gather and document requirements by collaborating with partners and understanding the end-to-end scope on the deliverable.
- Snowflake/ SQL/ Excel data analysis: Extract and evaluate data from different data sources and provide analytical deep dives where applicable. Need ability to present outputs in clean formats.
- Meaningful Data Visualization/Dashboarding: Build clean, meaningful and insightful data visualizations, reports, dashboards, in Power BI or sometimes other tools. Maintain dashboards and improve to provide right level of analytical insight to the partners.
- Executive reporting with data integrity: Support our Senior Analysts in the creation of monthly business reviews for executive leadership, ensuring understanding of data and content accuracy. Analyze large datasets to uncover insights and help translate them into recommendations
- Build GTM analytical models: Create a performance, attainment, trend, year over year model in excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) to support planning exercises.
- Documentation and Transparency: Manage comprehensive documentation for project plans, roadmaps, and progress reports, promoting accountability and clarity throughout the execution process.
What You'll Need to be Successful
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years relevant work experience analyzing large datasets and summarizing data insights, with PowerBI or similar data visualization experience
- Data-focused background, Bachelors required but Masters preferred in Analytics, Finance, Economics or Mathematics
- Tools proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, Excel, Power Bi and other related tools
- Experience working in SaaS technology company.
- Experience with CRM (Salesforce)
