What You'll Do

Avalara is looking for a dedicated and organised Partner Engagement Desk Specialist to join our team. As a Partner Engagement Desk Specialist, you will help support Avalara's partner ecosystem, ensuring our partners have a seamless expertise engaging with our partner programme, navigating our partner portal, and communicating with several teams at Avalara. We ask that you have close coordination with multiple Avalara teams, including Partner Services, Partner Support, Strategic Alliances, Finance, Marketing and Sales.


What Your Responsibilities Will Be

Partner Programme Expertise:

  • Become an expert on Avalara's partner programme, understanding its structure, benefits, and requirements and educate partners.
  • Expertise with partner portal (PRM) and Salesforce (CRM).
  • Responsible for adherence to programme policy, guidelines, processes.

Partner Portal Navigation:

  • Assist partners in navigating our partner portal.
  • Troubleshoot any portal-related issues and escalate technical problems.
  • You provide general account management support to partners (commissions, contract, account provisioning).

Responsiveness:

  • Responsiveness to partner inquiries and requests with accuracy.
  • Engage with partners to gather feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Help facilitate responses from teams on partner requests/inquiries.
  • Assessment requests to identify critical or blocking issues which are addressed quickly.

Communication:

  • Project manage partner-related tickets/requests routed to the Avalara teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders across the Avalara organisation.
  • Facilitate communication between partners and teams to address partner inquiries.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of partner interactions, issues, and resolutions.
  • Create reports and insights on partner feedback and requirements.
  • Provide updates to teams.

Train and Support:

  • Develop training materials and resources to help partners.
  • Offer ongoing support to partners as they navigate compliance-related challenges.
  • You will be reporting to Senior Account Executive - AP.

What You'll Need to be Successful

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Expertise with a customer-facing, in a technology or software company.
  • Project management skills.
  • Expertise with Partner Relationship Management (PRM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and issue tracking applications.
  • Salesforce and Jira working knowledge.
