As a Senior Enterprise Applications Analyst focused on People Technology, you will be a strategic partner and technical expert in supporting Avalara's Workday ecosystem. This remote role (#LI-Remote) reports to the Manager of Enterprise Applications and includes working across departments and time zones, with occasional participation in a 24-hour support model for critical issues.
What Your Responsibilities Will Be
You'll work cross-functionally to lead and improve Workday solutions, including Human Capital Management (HCM), Recruiting, Compensation, and Security. Each day, you'll collaborate with partners to align technology to needs, manage multiple module implementations, and troubleshoot complex issues from discovery through resolution. You'll contribute to the enterprise applications roadmap and coach teammates, playing a key role in scaling our systems to support a global organization.
What You'll Need to be Successful
- You have 5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday, including full-cycle implementations across HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, and Security.
- You hold one or more Workday certifications and stay current on system releases, roadmap trends, and best practices.
- You've contributed to product or systems roadmaps, offering input on long-term improvements and aligning programs to team goals.
- You're comfortable mentoring team members, sharing expertise, and promoting knowledge transfer.
- You have knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and tools like Jira to manage delivery in iterative cycles.
- You're experienced in working cross-functionally with HR, IT, and business stakeholders, and you've worked with international teams across time zones.
- You're prepared to support business-critical operations and are willing to participate in a rotating 24-hour support model.
