What You'll Do

Avalara's early talent strategy is to build talent pipelines through Internships and early career programs to meet Avalara's growing talent needs.

As part of the Leadership & Org Development team, you will drive early talent programming across the company.

You will work with People Partners, Talent Acquisition, Business Leaders, and functional training teams to align early talent strategy and programming globally. This role is located onsite in our Pune office. #LI-Onsite

You will Report to Senior Director

This is an Individual contributor role.


What Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • You will manage Avalara's early-in-career framework, including internships, structure career progression, and functional programs.
  • You will Lead internship program that converts students into full-time hires upon graduation.
  • You will partner with finance, business leaders, and Talent Acquisition to define and validate early career hiring needs and ensure agreement on workforce planning.
  • You will collaborate with campus recruiting to ensure the development of a campus strategy and that hiring objectives are met.
  • You will Partner with the campus recruiter to design and execute outreach and engagement strategies to attract high-quality early career talent. Collaborate on end-to-end internship programming, including manager training, program logistics, learning experiences, and intern performance assessments.
  • You will Provide leadership across Avalara's ACE (early talent) development programs for multiple business areas sharing best practices and ensuring alignment across programs.
  • You will Monitor and evaluate the success and progress of Internship and ACE programs, providing regular updates to leadership on measure and outcomes.
  • You will work with HR People Partners and Talent Acquisition teams to ensure alignment with talent acquisition and development needs companywide.
  • Collaborate with Talent Management (TM) to integrate early career talent into long-term development strategies, ensuring retention and growth.
  • Ability to work as part of a growing team and with a hands-on, and approach.

What You'll Need to be Successful

  • The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or at least 8 years of experience in HR Business Partnership, Early Career Development, and/or HR Program Management
  • Collaborative and able to work cross-functionally with global teams
  • Accomplished communicator with experience interacting at all levels
  • Project management skills, communicate early when deliverables or deadlines may be missed
