The Technical Security Architect will help bridge the gap between engineering teams, Solution Architects, and Enterprise Architects by providing dedicated technical security expertise. This role is designed to empower engineering teams by allowing them to focus on implementation while ensuring secure architectural designs that align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.

You will report to Director of security team. This is a remote role.

Role Responsibilities

The Technical Security Architect will:

• Design security architectures, frameworks, and patterns for enterprise and cloud environments.
• Provide hands-on guidance to engineering teams during the implementation of security controls.
• You will evaluate existing architectures to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
• Translate strategic goals and high-level requirements into applicable technical solutions.
• You will collaborate with solution and enterprise architects to ensure seamless integration of technical designs with strategic goals.
• Represent engineering programs in the Architecture Review Board to ensure understanding of organizational standards and goals.
• Stay current with new security technologies and practices, incorporating innovation into security architecture.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of experience in information security, with a focus on architecture and engineering.
• Expertise in designing secure system architectures for cloud and on-prem environments.
• Experience with security principles and tools (e.g., IAM, SIEM, encryption, firewalls, and endpoint security).
• Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, GDPR).
• Expertise in security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Technical skills in network, application, and data security, and proficiency with security tools and scripting.
• Create architectural designs through technical documentation and presentations.
