Job Description

What You'll Do

As a SDET, you are responsible for Assure Quality for all the products. Plan and estimate the test efforts for a feature / release. Create solution design and high-level scenarios based on solution design, Optimize test cases and contribute towards automation script writing and execution. Planning and executing test cases

    • Testing and deployment of integrations between ERP systems (such as SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, NetSuite) and popular eCommerce platforms (such as Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce).
    • Engage in continuous automated and manual testing activity throughout agile development iterations to ensure zero defects.
    • Establish yourself as a quality automation expert in the team, advocating for complete code coverage of several large codebases to enable continuous delivery to customers and a pre-determined SLA.
    • Work with the development engineers and provide a backlog of defects, tech debt items and product improvements
    • Provide feedback and recommendations on software usability and functionality.
    • Investigating customer problems escalated by technical support.
    • Be a passionate voice of the customer within the development organization.
    • Create UI and API automation suites with intuitive testing reports.
    • Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing.
    • Develop and Test custom APIs, connectors, and middleware that facilitate data exchange, synchronization, and real-time communication between different systems.
    • Test robust error handling, data validation, and data transformation mechanisms to ensure data integrity and accuracy during integration processes.
    • Optimize integration performance and scalability to accommodate a growing number of clients and increasing data volumes.
    • Focus on security aspects, observability, scalability, and telemetry.
    • Perform code reviews and ensure coding standards and practices are followed.
    • Implement and follow agile/scrum processes.
    • Collaborate with other teams to solve cross functional challenges.
    • Ensure team is not creating technical debts.
    • Take necessary corrective measures to address problems in application.

What You'll Need to be Successful

  • Bachelor/master's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 4+ years of full stack experience in software design, development and testing.
  • Good understanding of Object-oriented programming languages
  • Good understanding of ERP and eCommerce system architectures, APIs, data models, and authentication mechanisms.
  • Good experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and other data interchange formats.
  • Experience in working in an Agile team with hands on with TDD, BDD
  • Experience of working on AWS Cloud and DevOps (Terraform, Docker, ECS, etc.) would be beneficial.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to be able to solve complex problems and critical production issues.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
  • Experience with load and/or security testing is a plus
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software projects on time.
