Brief of the Role

We believe most software will move from systems of record to systems that decide and act. AgVend is building that system inside one of the most relationship-driven, data-rich industries in North America: agricultural retail. We sit at the center of the data, workflows, and trust relationships that drive how farmers and retailers make decisions together, and we’re encoding eight years of that intelligence into an AI-native platform called Goose.

Goose is designed to understand what’s happening across accounts and relationships, surface what matters, and help users take the right action at the right time. The users relying on it aren’t at desks. They’re co-op managers, retail reps, and agronomists making high-stakes decisions between stops, in trucks, under time pressure. When the system earns their trust, they act on its recommendations. When it doesn’t, we lose both the user and the data point that would have made the system smarter.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to help define how this system works, and how it earns that trust.

The Role

You will design an intelligent system that:

• Understands context across customers, accounts, and workflows

• Identifies risks and opportunities in real time

• Recommends and prepares actions

• Improves continuously by learning from outcomes

This is not about designing screens. It’s about defining how partners move from awareness to results, and making sure the system is trustworthy enough that they’re willing to let it act on their behalf.

What You’ll Do

• Design AI-native experiences that behave like a partner or assistant, not a dashboard

• Define how the system prioritizes, explains, and builds trust in its recommendations, including what happens when the model is wrong

• Create workflows that connect insight to decision to execution to learning

• Get close to real users. Conduct and synthesize research directly with ag retail partners, co-op managers, and growers

• Prototype quickly using AI tools and lightweight code

• Work in a small, high-context pod with product and engineering

• Turn ambiguous problems into clear, testable system directions

What We’re Looking For

• A generalist builder, strong in design, comfortable with AI prototyping and working across disciplines

• Experience or strong intuition for designing with AI systems

• Ability to think in systems and workflows, not just interfaces

• Strong product judgment and connection to business outcomes

• Comfort operating in ambiguity and creating clarity

• Someone who wants to work close to real users and real problems, not just behind a design tool
