Your Role at impact.com:
The Global Collections Analyst will oversee the end-to-end process of collecting payments from our
company’s customers. The main responsibilities for this role include supporting the Global Collections
Lead and Finance Managers in driving new initiatives within the AR space, that can contribute to longterm
operational excellence.
Our ideal candidate is familiar with key accounting procedures within the Accounts receivables
workstream and can manage daily end-to-end financial transactions. If you have previous experience
within a Collections or AR function, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure
accuracy and efficiency throughout our entire AR process.
What You'll Do:
- Collections Effectiveness and Efficiency
- Perform collections on accounts at risk of delinquency through effective communication via phone/email.
- Update collection systems with aging reports to monitor account status and ensure timely payment.
- Review new customer accounts for creditworthiness, financial solvency, and potential fraud risks.
- Prepare handover packages for externally collection agencies as needed.
- Research discrepancies or disputes, provide recommendations for resolution, and escalate when
needed.
- Evaluate churned accounts and negotiate favourable payment plans or settlements in favour of
impact.com
- Assist in accounting for bad debt and recommend accounts for write-off where necessary.
- Deliver timely, complete, and accurate outputs in line with expectations set by the Billing and Collections Manager.
- Collaborate internally with AR Billing and Collections, Finance, Global Clearing House, and Customer Success teams.
- Ad-Hoc Functions:
- Support the Billing and Collections internal / external Audit requirements – extraction of reports, analysis and reconciliations
- Provide support for the Billing and Collections team, as well as the Finance Lead on specific projects related to defined OKR’s for the team i.e. Netsuite Project, Automation of processes, AR campaigns for information sessions, Weekly Billing / collections calls with regional teams
What You Have:
- Degree / qualifications/General
- Tertiary level qualification in Credit Management or Accounting/Commerce
- 3-5 Years solid Accounts receivables experience (within a senior/supervisor role, an advantage)
- A positive can-do attitude and a willingness to learn new processes and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment
- Ability to work as a team player and to work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated high-level of maturity and confidentiality
- Tertiary level qualification in Credit Management or Accounting/Commerce
