About AegisAI
We are a team of ex-Google engineers who built some of the largest defensive platforms on the planet: Safe Browsing and reCAPTCHA. Now we are striking out on our own to tackle an even bigger challenge: stopping the new wave of adversarial AI attacks already hitting organizations today.
We are going after a $5B+ market, ripe for disruption. Traditional detection methods are too slow to keep up. Adversaries are using AI to craft customized, high-evasion attacks, and old-school rules-based systems do not stand a chance.
The Role
We are looking for a Security Administrator to keep AegisAI's own environment running securely. You will run vulnerability management, tune and monitor our SIEM, and harden every endpoint we ship, working directly with our security engineering team. Because our fleet and our identity stack are the attack surface, you will administer them too: MDM, patching, and day-to-day access needs are part of the job, not a detour from it.
You will be the person your teammates rely on when something breaks, and the person our security program relies on to keep the fleet patched, monitored, and clean. You will learn how a security company secures itself.
This is a growth role, and scope scales with what you bring. If you are coming from help desk or IT support and want a real path into security operations, this is that path. If you already have a few years of IT and security work behind you, you will take ownership of these areas faster and help shape how we run them.
What You'll Do
- Vulnerability management: Run our remediation workflows. Track findings, coordinate fixes with engineering, and keep us inside our SLAs.
- SIEM monitoring and tuning: Watch and triage alerts in our SIEM, and help tune detections to cut noise and catch what matters.
- Identity and access management: Harden our identity stack and run access reviews and provisioning across our SaaS estate.
- MDM administration: Manage our device fleet: enrollment, configuration profiles, and security policies.
- Endpoint patching and updates: Keep operating systems and applications current across the fleet, and track patch compliance.
- Software review and packaging: Review, package, and deploy software to endpoints.
- IT support: Answer help requests across the company, from accounts and devices to access and the occasional mystery.
- Automate: Automate the boring work so you can focus on what matters most.
Who You Are
- 1-4 years of hands-on experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration.
- Solid cloud and identity fundamentals: you understand SSO, MFA, and how cloud-native companies manage access.
- Demonstrated interest in security: certifications (e.g. Security+), coursework, homelab projects, CTFs, or security-adjacent work experience all count.
- Comfortable picking up new tools and figuring things out independently, and honest about what you do not know yet.
- Strong written communication: clear tickets, clean documentation, useful runbooks.
Bonus Points
- Experience with MDM.
- Experience with vulnerability management and patch management tooling.
- Experience with SIEM tuning, threat hunting, and log analysis tools.
- Identity provider and SaaS administration experience.
Our Culture
- Flat, flexible, and fast.
- You will own your decisions.
- You will have clear KPIs for success, but how you get there is up to you.
If you are hungry to build a career in security and want to work with a team that moves at the speed of the real world, join us.
