What You'll Do

Avalara is looking for an Executive Assistant to support a C-Suite Executive. You will have multiple creative, coordination, and administrative responsibilities in a steadily-growing environment. Be ready to feel The Power of Orange and have some FUN!

This is a remote US-based position reporting to the Manager of Executive Assistants

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • Provide executive level support including complex calendar management and scheduling needs
  • Coordinate leadership meetings and events both on and offsite
  • Work with the internal and external partners
  • Secure and manage complex travel arrangements, both domestic and international
  • Ensure best use of executive time and related management
  • Manage incoming requests on behalf of Executive Partner
  • Manage internal and external executive events and meetings, including staff, all-hands, and off-site meetings
  • Manage administrative activities to help complete important deliverables, including reporting and PowerPoint presentations
  • Manage expense reporting and reconciliation
  • Provide support on special projects

What You'll Need to be Successful

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience, with at least 2 years providing direct support to senior-level executives
  • The capability to work a hybrid schedule along with nights and weekends where needed
  • Event/Meeting planning experience
  • Experience building trust and working with confidential information
  • Expertise in Microsoft 365
  • Experience wearing many hats in a positive, professional team environment
  • Experience working with all levels of leadership
  • Composure in all situations and can manage unforeseen circumstances
  • Experience working with multiple very detailed projects
  • Experience balancing schedules for multiple leaders

Pay Range Details


The base pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be
different in other locations.


Colorado $88,000 - $140,800 (annually)
Washington $88,000 - $155,700 (annually)
California $88,000 - $155,700 (annually)
NYC $88,000 - $155,700 (annually)


The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The
successful candidate’s actual salary/wage may be based on various factors, such as geographic
location, candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, depending on
the terms of the applicable plan and the employee’s role.
